This Privacy Policy explains how Linktrum collects, uses, stores and shares personal information when you use Linktrum.com and its related services, including shortened URLs, redirects, QR codes, bio pages, analytics, custom domains, APIs and integrations.

 

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we may collect:

  • username;
  • encrypted or hashed password;
  • account preferences; and
  • login and security information.

Link and content information

When you use Linktrum, we may collect:

  • destination URLs;
  • shortened links and custom aliases;
  • QR-code settings;
  • bio-page content;
  • link titles, tags and descriptions;
  • custom-domain information; and
  • API or integration settings.

Click and scan information

When someone clicks a Linktrum link, scans a QR code or visits a bio page, we may collect:

  • IP address;
  • date and time;
  • browser and operating system;
  • device type;
  • approximate location based on IP address;
  • referring website or application;
  • requested link and destination;
  • campaign parameters; and
  • bot, fraud and security signals.

We do not intentionally collect precise GPS location through ordinary link clicks.

Linktrum does not control third-party privacy practices. Review the destination website’s privacy policy before providing personal information.

Anyone can use https://linktrum.com/verify/links to verify the destination of any Linktrum URL.

 

8. Public content

Short links, custom aliases and bio pages may be publicly accessible.

Do not include confidential information, passwords, private documents, identification numbers or sensitive personal information in public URLs, aliases or bio pages.

Public content may be indexed, copied or archived by search engines and third parties.

 

9. Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to operate the Services, protect users, comply with law and resolve disputes.

Typical retention periods are:

  • account information: while the account is active and for 30 days after deletion;
  • link and bio-page information: until deleted, followed by 30 days;
  • click and scan logs: 365 days;
  • security and abuse records: 24 months, or longer for an active investigation;
  • support communications: 2 years;
  • backup copies: up to 90 days.

You must replace these periods with Linktrum’s actual retention periods.

 

10. International transfers

Linktrum and its service providers may process information outside your country.

Where required, we use recognised safeguards such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses or other legally accepted transfer mechanisms.

After deletion:

  • your links and QR codes may stop working;
  • account access will end; and
  • remaining information will be deleted or anonymised according to our retention schedule.

We may retain limited information where required for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention or dispute resolution.

 

14. Children

Linktrum is not intended for children.

Users must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

If we learn that a child has provided personal information without legally required permission, we may delete the account and associated information.

15. Automated security checks

Linktrum may automatically analyse links, domains, redirect chains and account activity to detect:

  • phishing;
  • malware;
